Alan Nolan

EXCELLENCE IN EXPERIENCE

Alan and Wendy Nolan are the proud parents of three students in the Mead School District. They moved with their family to the Spokane area in 2015 following his retirement from active duty military service with the US Air Force.

Alan has a long record of public service. After graduating from the US Air Force Academy, he completed pilot training and flew helicopters and fighter aircraft, eventually commanding a flying training squadron. As military instructor pilot, Alan built first-hand expertise on teaching others in classroom and hands-on environments. He has successfully led large, complex organizations, effectively working through governmental bureaucracies to achieve set goals.

Since moving to Spokane, Alan and Wendy have run a successful design/construction firm and his expertise has led to appointments on state and county-level advisory groups and oversight boards. Their company proudly employs a team that produces work which regularly wins regional and state awards. Alan’s business experience will help ensure the Mead School District operates in a financially responsible manner and equips students with the skills they need to compete and thrive in today’s economy.

The broad experience and record of success in both the military and business worlds give Alan the skills needed to strengthen the Mead School District as a board member. His strong personal faith and dedication to American ideals, shown in 22+ years of military service, provide the foundation on which he will stand to ensure the district represents the values held by Mead families
